Deconstruction by Jacques Derrida

Thinking Activity

* What do you understand by 'Deconstruction'?
 -  Deconstruction is a form of philosophical and literary analysis derived from Jacques Derrida.

Deconstruction is the philosophy of meaning, free play of meaning, supplementary related and decentering the center. The word bet and bat – a bird have a lot of meanings and those meanings play into our mind.  To identify the meaning and true meaning of words is deconstruction. Language always empowers us. Words control us we do not go beyound the words.

Derrida deconstructs the metaphysics of presence. That is to say that according to Derrida there is no presence or truth apart from language. He seeks to prove that the structuralism of the structure does not indicate a presence above its free play of signs. This presence was earlier supposed to be the center of the structure which was paradoxically thought to be within, and outside this structure, it was truth and within, it was intelligibility.

* Read an ad or TV serial or film or literary text as post-structuralist critic.

Here I'm deconstructing the advertisement of ICC World Cup.

Here we can see how they play with our mind. How we can see the binary opposition. India and other countries become including Pakistan stay in one group and India remains alone. That means they wants to show that India is powerful than other countries. And another meaning we get is they wants to say that all are with Pakistan you are Alone, so in a way  they say to the people that come on but in a way they wants public.
There is also used of Sikandar. Also the whole ade is full of spirit. It gives us a strong respect for the countries and we becomes sheeples.
In one seen we find that the representer of India broke the wood piece and tries to say that India has so much power. So it can broke Pakistan in a few seconds.
So in a way the it play with our sentiment and indirectly they wants to say that we must should watch match between India and Pakistan.
